Our Partner

Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, one of New York’s leading nonprofit organizations, is a 131-year-old settlement house offering a comprehensive range of effective, integrated human services. Each year, it transforms the lives of thousands of individuals, from ages 3 to 103, across Manhattan’s East Side.

Most notably, Lenox Hill Neighborhood House offers a robust network of programs and services to help homeless and formerly homeless individuals achieve stability and independence. This includes the Women’s Mental Health Shelter at the Park Avenue Armory and the Casa Mutua supportive housing residence in

East Harlem.

Our Mission

Socks may seem like a small item, but they are one of the most needed and appreciated essentials for those experiencing homelessness. A simple pair of socks can provide warmth, comfort, and protection, making a big difference in someone’s daily life. By donating new socks, you’re helping homeless and formerly homeless people take a step toward stability and dignity. Join us in spreading warmth—every pair counts!

View our Amazon wishlist of socks here. Socks for Shelters is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

All donations are tax deductible.

Fresh socks are the most requested, yet least donated item at homeless shelters. At Socks for Shelters, we’re passionate about socks and committed to ensuring everyone has access to warm, clean pairs.

Each year, in partnership with Lenox Hill Neighborhood House of NYC, we aim to donate thousands of socks to those in need.

Together, we can bring comfort and warmth to our community!
